i feel so grateful with principles gleaned from larry zoro’s hay bale habitat and gardening books, incorporating concept last afternoon in garden to find, save, nourish one avocado growing among weed near edge of forest, palm lost under custer’s curse, abiu stunted by crawling thimble berry bush.  use of surrounding weed growth afforded material for mulch, concomitantly reducing weed proliferation, contribution in consuming plants we don’t want to benefit plants we desire to increase.  i feel so happy to know there is hope for fruitfulness on this rocky land, attending to things we have and may apply.  stuffing old 5 gallon bucket from uncle matt 3/4 full of custer’s curse leaves and berries submerged under 3 or 4 lava rocks in used kitchen water, letting it sit past a week to make organic liquid plant juice to feed other plants.  weeds thrive well here, thus we have an abundant resource.  every decomposing thing can be used along with fresh weed growth.  dismantling custer’s curse bush revealed fallen disintegrating trees that can be added to feed flora producing edible fruits.

at beth’s land, we may use what grows plentiful there at that elevation from history and use of that land as pasture.  i feel when the weeds are compressed along with other natural compostable things,  break down is quickened.  larry suggests layering these self made bales with manure, scrapes from kitchen, weeds, grasses, paper, cardboard.  since we have many five gallon buckets we may use these instead of totes or waste paper baskets.  i feel squeezing to constrict the material adds advantage.  bananas are such heavy feeders that loose piled weeds do not suffocate the plants and do not tend to regrow since the patch grows faster taller than the weeds.  slower growth plants will profit from more tightly bundled weeds mixed with other mulching materials, weight of bundle will also smother weed growth and provide habitat for beneficial organisms.  this solves our need for mill runs to make imo’s, availing natural, convenient, serviceable way to nourish trees and gardens without expense, only effort, care, attention.

i feel plants recognize our care when we pay attention to their welfare.  this year, banana patch doubled its production with bunching twice as large.  i feel so grateful for all the weeds collected from forest to feed this patch.  we do not buy or use chemical fertilizer.  respecting natural practices spanning thousands of years by forebears, continuing fruitfulness in use of natural LIFE compatible elements that complete cycle of service, yielding prolific results without destroying planet home.  everything is recyclable, useful, effective that is natural and not man-made.  if a way entails harm, destruction, devastation for personal gain, it is not worth it to me.  it is shooting oneself in the leg to die a slow death.  when we take advantage of others to deprive them of their rights, we practice evil, are cruel, immoral, causing suffering and injury.  Word Of LIFE Is Clear in exodus 20, translated from original hebrew to say, Never Harm (verse normally translated that says do not kill).  this is a much Stronger admonition, Sound Counsel, Evident.  Universal Principle Calling In Unrestrained LOVE to cherish.  steal, kill, destroy are mandates of pride, selfishness, corruption;  are parasitic, oppressive.  

we may choose at any moment which Principle we support and live by, LIFE, or death.  YShWA, YaHWaH’s Salvation says in Word Of LIFE, what we conceive in our hearts, though unseen, are called to account.  if we imagine anything in our mind/heart, we have so much already committed the act.  this is how strict AB Is With us, To Desire And Will Perfection, Completion In us, and AB Will Finish Work Of Transformation so that we no longer miss the mark (sin).  Price for sin has already been Paid In Full, Made, Assurance Given in AB’s Complete Sacrifice in Providing Lamb, Self, for humanity.  what else could be greater price to pay?  like Aslan laying down his LIFE on stone table, analogy of this Gift to Save mankind, because white witch demanded sacrifice, price to be paid for very wrong she instigated, victim trapped.  Aslan is too generous!  AB Even MORE!  risking Everything for us so that we may be Legitimately Set Free.  did he have to?  i don’t think so.  so easily could AB crush evil completely out of existence, but we will not be able to appreciate True Unrestrained LOVE nor apprehend magnitude of this Gift, Sacrifice Given to meet insane demand of out of control tyrant, witch, evil.

if any opposition, antagonism, enmity, disapproval were wiped out, as some would desire in short sightedness, we would only live in fear, not knowing the Entire Truth Of AB’s Character In Unrestrained LOVE.  suffering extremely long with us, evil, Revealing Entire Story From Beginning To End, so that there will be no more questions, doubt.  those who choose death from that point will know exactly why, how, and what is coming.  it is insane to choose death after knowing the Whole Truth but perhaps some may still use Free Gift Of Choice to go that way of destruction.  i prefer to choose LIFE, to reach full development and potential, to see all the possibilities in AB’s Cultivation Endlessly.  to enjoy AB’s Magnificence, like lucy, embracing LIFE each time she sees it, choosing to trust in AB’s Word Of Honor, Satisfied In AB’s Provisions, resting in AB’s Peace, Fulfillment, Wonder.  what else could be Better than LIFE?  i do not know!

prayer 2.11.15

i feel so grateful AB for larry zoro’s book on hay bale gardening that is feasible, sensible, adaptable to our situation.  since finding out about this type of gardening the day before, as possible solution to our need for soil on rocky land.  however, i found hay bales are simply not available cheap as on mainland thus requisite to make our own.  i feel grateful that we can focus on gathering whatever is available in our area to make our own bales.  i had concerns about commercial bales since i would not know the source nor toxicity levels of bales grown and processed.  thus we return home, to what we may find on this land, with this type of growing which will enhance soil and plants.  only now, with this knowledge, the process will be focused, augmented because we now have directions to follow besides experimentation, learning from observations, experience gained season upon season.

couple bunches bananas are ready for harvest, the hands getting plump, fed by weeds from the forest.  the cut stumps add nourishment to the patch that continues to enlarge.  i feel grateful for the weeds, pulling nutrients from the soil deep down in cracks and crevices of rocks.  custer’s curse is a Blessing, utilized to feed banana patches, adding other fast growing weeds to the pile.  we have much weeds here on the land.  according to zoro, aged weeds can be added to the hay, leaves, paper bales for planting and is not a problem.  he also recommends addition of manures which we have from the goats.  we may try this method and see if the results will be satisfactory.  last year, we learnt how to culture indigenous microbes which made a difference in the health of all our plants.  however, it required access to some kind of cereal mill runs.  mill in oahu is closed so we have no more runs to work with.  i tapered off our use, mixing last batch with brown cinders now sitting under the tent.

YDH AB For Provision, Guiding our learning in tending to this field we may call our home.  i felt comfort after reading zoro’s words.  change is inherent in our world of disorder, we must accept and learn to adapt and persist.  learning new methods that are efficacious, conducive to fruitfulness on this terrain that is provided.  transferring inclination of the same from health to living here, with attention on usefulness yielding beneficial results.  i feel grateful for the farm stand maria runs in mountain view.  we are supplied with organic locally grown veggies from her husband’s hand.  they use simply constructed green houses and grow direct in compost amended soil.  we are enjoying results of their knowledge, livelihood, while supporting their family.  i feel nourished from greens grown from her farm and feel thankful for their work.  

if between translation of Revelation, home school, tending beth’s land, new job, study for doctorate in nursing practice may leave not much time to personally tend our rocky patch, i know we may be supplied with nourishing greens from maria’s family, also fruit trees on our land.  i feel so glad despite the rocks, the trees are thriving, fruiting, as we continue to nurture them with what we have on this little patch of ground we call home.  i feel grateful for our home school, witnessing both children excelling in all areas of life, connected to this land, animals, friends.  each blossoming in their talents, shining forth surpassing all expectations.  most of all, reverent to LIFE, respectful, responsive, attentive, gentle, humble, content, happy in pursuit of AB SMYM, bonded with Master Teacher of our house.
